We are offering for sale a superb Edwardian period silver-gilt shooting butt marker made by the premier luxury goods retailers - Aspreys.

This cylindrical box has a complex engraved cipher to the pull-off cover. Opening the box reveals eight numbered pegs that slot neatly in to place and can be randomly picked out via a turned round finial to determine which shooting butt each gunman will use.

This is a top quality piece in excellent condition with a lovely all over lemon gilding.
