Very rare Russian Orthodox Akathist with Canons from about 1739 in good condition - Bibliographical rarity! I\'m selling an old and very rare Russian Orthodox Akathist with Canons from about 1739 in good condition. It was printed during the reign of Empress Anna Ivanovna /1730 -1740/. I guess that this is because of two lithographs in the book were written years 1736 and 1737 /sees good the last photo/. The Akathist with Canons is in good condition, but there are damaged and missing pages. In the book lacking the first 21 leaves, and probably about 15-20 leaves at the end. The book is with leather hard cover decorated with beautiful religious and geometric ornaments and it is 100% original and authentic. The book is printed on thick paper typical of all Russian books from 18 century. Orthodox Akathist with canons was printed with a beautiful black color and there are nine miniatures. The book format is 150x100x65mm/ 5.9x3.9x2.6 inches, with a total of about 1000 pages and weighs 476 grams. Preserved over the years with small format books in good condition are very few. They are extremely rare and that makes this book collectibles and expensive. Good preserved and very rare Russian Orthodox Akathist with Canons with high artistic and religious value suitable for true connoisseurs and antiquarians - you get what you see in the pictures. CONDITION: good - Please see photos for condition! The book has old wrinkled pages, pages with missing parts of them / especially at the end of the book / and torn pages. It is possible that in the book there are other missing pages except the ones I declared that there is no beginning and end of the book. The book bears the marks of age, some pages with thumping spots, some with water stains, a few with wax stains from the candles, but generally in good condition, considering its age and that it was used for church services. You get what you see in the photos. The book is a rare and valuable.
