Description: A very rare silver sovereignholder for eight sovereigns by iconic makers Sampson Mordan & Co. Plainshallow oblong shape with rounded ends, a sprung cover and a suspension ring, thesilver gilt interior with two slots with spring clips to take eight sovereigns.Hallmarked on both lids and bale ring.

Condition: In excellent antique conditionwith no damage or repair, and a couple of tiny dings.
