These are the sweet 8 inch drivers from the hard-to-find Ohm (brand) \"Model H\" speakers. I have never seen these 8\'s offered for sale. The Model H utilized two tweeters, and one of these 8\" drivers along with a passive 12\" passive radiator (per cabinet). So, it\'s easy to see the 8\'s did most of the work in that design, and yet the Model H\'s were well known for their excellent bass, and ability to rock out at high levels. I have tested these, and can confirm the hype. They play exceptionally well- excellent midrange/midbass. They have a very pleasant tonal quality and plenty of headroom…..qualities that that would make them ideal for a small 2-way speaker design, guitar, or harp amps.
This pair is dated 1977, as shown. There was a bit of sealing putty on the baskets when I photographed these, but has since been removed- they\'re ready for mounting again. Impedance is spec, and within 0.2 ohm from each other. There are no buzzes, scrapes, cuts, holes, or other issues. The surrounds are fresh.
