Here is a Victor Orthophonic Victrola reproducer in Nickel finish, as shown. This reproducer has not been rebuilt or taken apart, but is original. As photos show, this reproducer is the version made of pot metal, but it looks pretty good. The front looks really nice. Below is a video of this very reproducer playing, so you can hear it. It sounds okay, but would have much better bass response if it had new gaskets and wax added around the spider. Note that the rubber inside the tube is very hard, and some has cracked away. New reproduction inserts are made for this, as well, which are supposed to improve the sound. A high percentage of the pot metal Orthophonic reproducers are in such bad condition that they cannot be rebuilt. This one looks like it should be fairly easy to work on by someone who specializes in this work. The retaining ring on this one has the two holes. No needles are included.
