Victor Talking Machine Company of Camden New Jersey Model VV-IX Victrola made in 1916 with mahogany finish. This machine is in original, NOT REFINISHED condition. This means that the shellac finish is showing alligatoring, it has some dents and dings on the front, the finish is dull, this is what original finishes look like when they have not been messed with over 98 years. It is not a bad looking machine, it is one of two mahogany IX\'sthat I own, they both are 1916 vintage and look pretty much the same so I flipped a coin, one has to go to make room for the oak finish IX I acquired. I serviced the two spring motor, I cleaned it, oiled it, adjusted it, and fully repacked both springs. There is no \"thump and bump\" with this machine, it runs as smooth and quiet as any Victrola will. I am including atheVictrola No2 reproducer that came to me with this machine, this reproducer/soundbox is NOT rebuilt, it\'s in very good condition, good mica, good springs, good thumbwheel, even the nickel isn\'t that worn, but the rubber gaskets are hard as stone and must be replaced. If you use it as it is you will do permanent damage to your records. Rebuilding costs around $50 depending on who you send it to, or you can order the materials and do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Please don\'t attempt it if you are not familiar with the process, these reproducers are not cheap to replace . This machine shows it\'s age, but it is not a pile of junk, case is rock solid, has the patent paper stuck under it dated August 1st 1916, and it has been extensively played by me ( with my other fully rebuilt soundbox) The crank is included, the crank\'s nickel plating is worn, but it\'s otherwise solid. Look over all 12 photos, contact me if you would like more, I will need your email to send them to. Contact me with any questions, thank you.

Shipping- This is a veryheavy box, I have heavily packed the machine . I jammed newspapers tightly around it, and in it so there is no movement of the machine inside. It\'s a65 pound box with the machine and all the packing, I charge exact shipping, do not be surprised by high shipping cost, especially if you live on the other side of the country from me. I have been the victim of poor Victrola packing by others in the past and I do not wish to pass on the favor. If you wish me to do anything specific to pack it even heavier I will be glad to accommodate the high buyer. the inside of the case around the soundbox and turntable are tightly packed with yet more newspaper to prevent movement. It will be shipped fully insured.

If you have any questions please contact me and I will do my best to answer them. This is not a parts machine, piece of junk, or in need of a rebuild ( other than the soundbox) It\'s just a goodspare machine and I need room for new buyers, please be aware of both the customs regulations for your countryand the likely very expensive shipping fees on this item ( 65 pounds and a large 24x24x24\" box). If you would like to collect this in person and avoid the shipping fees it\'s no problem. We are 55 miles north of New York City, just let me know and we can arrange it.
