Description

SILVER & HORN BEAKER SET. A complete graduated set of seven hallmarked silver-mounted horn beakers, tapering cylindrical in form, each with a polished silver collar and glass base, the largest with a blank silver armorial. Each beaker is distinct with its own markings and colour variations all of which are striking; with colour tones range from black, dark to light brown, birch to ivory white. Rarely to be found as acomplete set and in such lovely condition.

All hallmarked H.A Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1884.

Condition Report

Very Fine. There is slight tarnish to the silver, a couple of the mounts have light dings. Overall the beakers are superb, the silver is very good, the horn is mainly unmarkedretaining their high gloss polish. The glass plates are firm and in very good order.
