I love shabby & primitive antiques and this old mirror fits the bill! It has multiple \"issues\" so it wouldn\'t be for everyone! It\'s very old--I\'d guess Victorian era (early 1900\'s) and USED to have a stand--now the stand is gone & just the round part is left.The holder on the back has a broken off part that used to connect it to a stand....now it just has a string for hanging it on the wall.
It measures 6\" diameter and looks like it\'s made of brass with a surface silver plating; it has simple but lovely embellishments on the front. Please check all pics carefully as it is very worn!Condition: As I said, it used to be on a stand but no longer---now it hangs from a string on the back. The mirror surface is scratched and you can see around the circumference that some of its backing has worn away. The silver coating is really grungy and tarnished! I don\'t think even polishing it would help much! There is also a tiny screw missing on the back. This old mirror is just resigned to being labeled \"shabby chic!\"
