This is for a nice Victorian antique gilded brass patent sewingneedle case called the \'Beatrice\'. The case is hinged to concertina open and it hasfour sockets to hold four packets of needles inside. The outer covers aredecorated with flowers and the sockets inside are numbered 7-10. The case isheld by two hinged catches that are marked \'Beatrice, Patent\' and it is saidthat this case was named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert\'s youngest childBeatrice. It is in excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere, no damageto the hinges, no dents and only wear to the gilt finish. Closed itmeasures 45mm (1.75\") by 25mm (1\") by 9mm (0.3\") deep.
