Description This wonderful example of late 19th century antique glass was likely produced in Britain or Europe, however I\'ve seen Mount Washington attributed pieces in the same shape. It features a wonderful pale blue tint cased over milk white glass. The event of the two layers blown together result in this fabulous faded effect with a richer, deeper, sky blue at the top of the vase and a much paler colour towards the base.

The vase has a square, crimped rim and a rounded body and base. There is a ground and polished pontil on the base which is unusual quality for a piece of this era. There are a few pieces of ash from the hot shop fire caught in time inside the glass.

The vase measures 6\" in height and 5\" at the widest point on the rim. In excellent condition it has no chips, nicks or cracks at all.
