A lovely Victorian carved Irish bog oak thimble holder, in the form of an owl with lovely detailing, inside is a solid silver thimble with Chester hallmark and dated 1903. All in fabulous original condition with some wear consistent with age and use, there\'s a small piece missing off the top of one of the owls ears otherwise is good.

Nevertheless this is a lovely crafted Victorian piece and with the silver thimble which is rare these days, normally the thimble is missing.

Approximate size is: Height 10cm. Width at bottom of base is 5.5cm.
