Features: A wonderful Victorian desk piece & we could not find another like it. The rocking ink blotter base is made of wood, the top is brass, with a wonderful Chinese shishi or guardian lion atop, with globe under his paw. The design in the brass border is Art Nouveau style.
Size: 5.5\" long x 3.25\" wide x 3.5\" tall
Condition: Wood has a crack, but is stable and this is still a serviceable implement. Residual areas of glue or lacquer to the rounded bottom. Glossy faces to wood. Seems to be some play between top & base, maybe shorter brass screws are required. (Although this may work as-is depending on the blotting paper used.) Pads between base & wood not inspected. Patina to unpolished brass. 2 screws with wear.
