Here we have a wonderful VICTORIAN ENGLISH WILLIAM ELEY STERLING SILVER GOLD ETCHED BOOK BOX VINAIGRETTE.

PIECE is well made and in good condition; HOWEVER, there are some surface scratches and some small dings; (please see photos for condition)...marked with a lion and a C and a cats head and a man\'s profile.

PIECE is beautifully decorated made of sterling silver in the form of a Vinaigrette box. This vinaigrette is in the outside shape of a book. The front and back are both etched with a lovely design. The front also has a plague for a monogram. Inside has a lovely gold wash. All parts are moving well and the vinaigrette closes securely.

Circa 1798.

PIECE measures approx 1 1/2\" x 1 1/16\" x 5 /8\" deep and weighs 28.1 grams and is fresh out of an old Maine estate.
