Antique Silver Plate Toothpick Holder
Victorian toothpick holder with parcel gilt interior and applied figural amphibians. This charming silverplated piece was made by E.G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn New York and dates from the late 1800s. The holder stands 2” tall (5 cm). This piece is in very good condition with very minor wear in small areas here and there. There is one insignificant “ding” on the front located on the lower portion of the letter “e”. This ding is too small to be noticeable from the outside and is more visible from the inside. There is minor wear on the inner floor. The parcel gilt interior has worn thinner over the years from many polishings and the gold is much paler now than it was originally.
