Item: Victorian era silverplated figural napkin ring made by the Derby Silver Co. It shows a fox coming from behind what looks like a young oak tree growing close to the ground. There are flowers on the footed base. The ring is stamped with small circles and has a blank spot for engraving. I blew the dust off this with canned air and wiped it gently with a soft, damp cloth, so the buyer can polish it or leave the patina as is. Being a foxhunter, I love this piece, but if I kept everything I find that I like, I wouldn\'t have anything to sell.
Condition:Heavy patina, one or two small, brighter spots on top of ring. No dents or scratches. The spot for the inscription is blank. I took one photograph in natural light. The rest are done with a flash so the detail will show up better.
