This lovely Victorian dress is made from peach silk satin and a gorgeous silk floral brocade. The bodice is lined in silk and boned in the seams. It laces up the front, laces missing. It has a pointed wired collar that will stand up and Elizabethan styled sleeves with a wide ivory lace flounce around the bottom. There\'s also a lace ruffle in the center front across the neck. The bodice is trimmed with large pearls, there is some loss of the pearls, but you should be able to take them from around the upper sleeves or wrists and then fill in the missing ones. It also has an opened seam on the little panel in the center front that will back behind the laces so it shows the same fabric under the lacing. The cuffs on the sleeves laces upfrom wrist to below the elbow. The brocade is really gorgeouswith beautiful flowers in mauve, pink, dark red and gold. The bodice measures about 32 inches around the bust, waist is 21, across the back shoulder is 11 1/4 inches and from shoulder to center front point is 21 inches. It has a B Altman & Co label in the petersham. The skirt is pale peach silk satin with the brocade bustle and is lined in tan cotton. The waist band should be replaced, it has a lot of tears, there\'s some spots on the bottom of the skirt and a large damaged area on the left side bottom of the skirt. Other than the waistband and the damaged area, the silk is OK, you could try to match up the silk and put a lace ruffle around the bottom to cover the difference in the fabric. It measures 22 inches around the waist and is 43 1/4 inches long. The skirt is easily restored, the bodice is overall in excellent condition.
