This antique Victorian era midnight blue velvet chenille embroidered rosette flower sash dress dates from 1890. It is made of a dark midnight blue color heavy plush velvet fabric, with colorful pastel silk chenille embroidered rosette flower bouquet trim accents around the front neckline yoke and skirt pleats. This gorgeous girls youthful dress has a drop waist with pleated full short skirt, a high neck band collar neckline, long sleeves, a pleated open back with no closures and is fully lined. The dress measures 44 inches long, with a 34 inch bust, 28 inch waist, 14 inch back and 16 inch long sleeves. Included is a long silk grosgrain ribbon sash belt stole with matching velvet chenille embroidered ends. The sash measures 120 inches long and is 8 inches wide. It is in excellent condition, with only the back closures missing. This is truly a rare and exceptional piece of antique Victoriana wearable textile art!
