Victorian Old Sheffield Silver Plate Salver Tray by H Wilkinson & Co 1860:

This is a very nice quality Mid Victoiran period old Sheffield silver plate salver, waiter or drinks tray dating from around 1860.
It is a lovely scalloped circular shape, with 4 graduated scroll feet, with lovely engraved work as shown. It would make a nice drinks tray, decanter stand or centre piece on a table.
It is marked on the base with the makers mark, top quality silversmith of the day Henry Wilkinson of Sheffield, as shown. It measures 36 cms in diamter and sits to a height of 4 cms. And it feels very heavy, a sign of the quality!
In all the condition is very good with no damage. The piece sits perfectly on a flat surface with no wobble. There are a few very light scratches to the surface but nothing that looks damaged. This item is over 100 years old so do not expect it to look brand new but in saying that it looks stunning and displays very well. It weights 1.2kg.
