Up for sale is a very nice Victorian era ink stand and pen rest. A beautiful complement to the discriminating desk. Please examine pictures as they constitute part of the description and you may have the ability to decode the hallmarks. I don\'t believe the crystal inkwell is original to the piece, but it complements it very well. There is wear present to the finish commensurate with age, being most apparent on the lid of the inkwell. It would benefit from a good polish. Appears that the base may have been bent (from a fall?) in the past, but has been straightened nicely and it sits level on its four ball feet. Lid of inkwell does not stay fully closed - may be able to rectify through adjustment of the hinge.
