Item: -Antique Solid Sterling Silver Vinaigrette-Birmingham 1847

Description: - This is afine quality early Victorian sterling silver gilt vinaigrette by the silversmiths Cronin and Wheeler, Birmingham 1847. The vinaigrette is inbook form, with engine-turned decoration to the cover and base. The cover has a vacant shield cartouche, and the hinged cover opens to reveal a pierced foliate scroll silver gilt grille, with two ring attachments. This is a beautiful quality example in good clean condition.

Condition: - This is a very beautiful quality example in good clean antique condition. The hinge works perfectly and closes tightly. There are no dents, splits, damage or repairs. Surface scratches and a couple of v.minor dings that would be expected with a piece this age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
