This is a lovely Victorian sterling silver ornately designed jug. It is hallmarked for London and dated 1867. The makers are Hunt and Roskell 3840. It is an incredibly ornate jug. There are no visible dings or dents. It could do with a good clean.

Originally established in 1843,the makers Hunt & Roskell, were a firm of manufacturing and retail jewellers and silversmiths, originally founded by Paul Storr in 1819, trading as Storr & Co. (1819-22), Storr & Mortimer (1822-38), Mortimer & Hunt (1838-43) and then Hunt & Roskell (1843-97).
