This is a used figurine. There are no chips, crazing, or cracks – the colorsare excellent. I have pictures of allangles showing the condition. The markon the bottom of the figure is commonly in use after 1932, but is sometimesseen between 1928 and 1931.

Guy Fawkes (/ˈɡaɪ ˈfɔːks/; 13 April 1570– 31 January 1606),[a] also known as Guido Fawkes, thename he adopted while fighting for the Spanish, was a member of a group ofprovincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Fawkes was born andeducated in York. Hisfather died when Fawkes was eight years old, after which his mother married a recusantCatholic. Fawkes converted to Catholicism and left for the continent, where hefought in the Eighty Years\' War onthe side of Catholic Spain against Protestant Dutch reformers inthe Low Countries. He travelled to Spainto seek support for a Catholic rebellion in England without success. He latermet Thomas Wintour, withwhom he returned to England.

Wintour introducedFawkes to Robert Catesby, who planned to assassinateKing James I andrestore a Catholic monarch to the throne. The plotters leased an undercroftbeneath the House of Lords, and Fawkes was placedin charge of the gunpowder they stockpiled there.Prompted by the receipt of an anonymous letter, the authorities searched Westminster Palaceduring the early hours of 5 November, and found Fawkes guarding the explosives.Over the next few days, he was questioned and tortured, and eventually heconfessed. Immediately before his execution on 31 January, Fawkes fell from thescaffold where he was to be hanged and broke his neck, thus avoiding the agonyof the mutilation thatfollowed.

Fawkes became synonymouswith the Gunpowder Plot, the failure of which has been commemoratedin Britain since 5 November 1605. His effigy is traditionallyburned on a bonfire, commonly accompanied by a fireworksdisplay.
