Vincent Cavallaro Vintage ABSTRACT OIL PAINTING Mid Century LISTED NY WPA 1959
Classic Mid Century Modern space age oil painting. Raw, visceral feel to this work. Deep cobalt forms are superimposed over pale washes of crimson and sporadic dabs and dots of sienna. Highlights of pale pink, green, and sky blue, with dashes of orange. Oil painting on heavy prepared paper, mounted on masonite. In original water gilded floating frame.
Very good vintage condition. There are natural imperfections in the paper. Paper shows slight rolling ripple from humidification/age. Surface is stable, but delicate and will be shipped with care. Frame has loss of gilding and light repair work in areas.
