Up for sale is this beautiful STERLING SILVER CONCHO BELT by NAVAJO SILVERSMITH ARTIST VINCENT J. PLATERO. The black leather belt has 10 HAND STAMPED STERLING SILVER CONCHOS including the BUCKLE CONCHO featuring VINCE PLATERO\'S SIGNATURE intricate stamping work. Each CONCHO has lovely scalloped borders with combined repousse and detailed hand stamped artistry. Really gorgeous!
CONCHOS include, 2 SQUARE (1 is the buckle which is slightly larger then the other), 2 HEART SHAPED, 2 CROSS PATH, 2 ROUND, and 1 OVAL.HALLMARKED ON THE BACK of the BUCKLE \"VJP\" ----\"STERLING\" and there is the famous COW SKULL HALLMARK (Vincent Platero\'s hallmark) there are also the letters \"N M\" perhaps NEW MEXICO?The leather belt measures approximately 49 inches long. The buckle CONCHO is approximately 3 inches while the other square is 2.75 inches -- CIRCLES -- 3 inches, CROSS PATH -- 3 1/8 inches, HEARTS -- 3 inches and OVAL 3 1/8 inches. The leather belt has wear from age, and the CONCHOS are tarnished and looks like someone tried to shine them with SILVER POLISH, but should shine up nicely with a little tender loving care!Vince Platero\'s hand stamped sterling silver jewelry and accessories are among some of the very best in SOUTHWESTERN NATIVE AMERICAN work.
