Dutch Girl measures approximately 11\" in height and was probably purchased in the Netherlands as a tourist doll circa the 1920\'s-on. Though she is dressed in the costuming of Holland, she may have been manufactured in Germany. Her highly colored socket head with its pouty expression appears to have been made from paper mache, while her body is composition. Her legs move easily forwards and backwards, so she may have been intended as a walking doll. Her left leg appears to be a bit shorter than her right leg though. Dutch Girl remains in gently used condition with minimal discoloration, soil, and wear. Her painted head sustains a few soil spots and flakes. Generally, she remains a nice example of an early travel doll.PLEASE study the photos carefully and email with all questions! My photos detail her condition accurately.
