Up for offer is an originalvintage used 17.5\" HANDMADE NAVAJO Indian Maiden Doll with IndianBeads. This is a wonderful old,high-quality Navajo doll created in the likeness of a Navajo woman. The doll wears the traditional colorfuloutfit of the Navajo women, made with colored red cloth and pretty checkeredgreen and grey underskirt. She hashandmade beaded necklace and belt with gold colored design. She has some handsewn beads in metal disks on both sides and middle of her blouse, up hersleeves and along her back. Her hair iseither made of mohair or some kind of yarn (that looks like hair). This lovelyolder doll measures about 17.5\" from the top of her head to the hem at herfeet. She has some general worn spots onher dress and some of the beads and disks are missing. A beautifully painted head and face. Her hair is tied in a bun with some stringinset into the bun. This doll was foundat an estate sale with a note from the original owner stating Navajo handmadeprobably before 1930. Bought Sept 1977. I cannot verify its true age, but it doesappear to be old. This is nicer thanmost you see and has more age than most. This is a great doll for a collectionand in very good condition for an item with age and use.
