Your viewing a 1960\'S rare vintage Hamilton Thin-o-Matic model T-650 17jewel wrist watch with a 10k yellow rolled gold plated case with stainless steel back that is in very good condition. The crystal is new old stock unbreakable with a butler color satin dial and yellow gold tone markers and number. Hands are original as well as is dial with new luminous material in hands and dial dots. This piece has a Buren 1000 micro rotor (see photos) self wind movement that has been restored in my shop. Buren was purchased by Hamilton and this movement was added to Hamilton\'s lineup where they added the \"thin-o-matic\" models. The development of this movement enabled a much thinner case design lending itself to light weight self winding dress watch. The dial has some light age spots so please review photo\'s. Thanks for looking.....
History on Hamilton/Buren from 1966-1969:Buren (now Hamilton/Buren) Micro-rotor was the first patented automatic wristwatch movement to eliminate the sizable external oscillating weight inherent to most automatic winding watches. Instead, it utilized a much smaller weight that was entirely integrated into the chassis of the movement. This design allowed for a substantially slimmer automatic watch that still retained a center sweep second hand.

In 1969, the Hamilton Watch Company completely ended American manufacturing operations with the closure of its factory in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, shifting manufacturing operations to the Buren factory in Switzerland.
