Lovely vintage exotic bird print by Stark Davis from the 1930\'s.This colorful art deco print is in good condition, with some slight marks from age. Wooden frame outer dimensions measure approx. 27-1/4\" x 27-1/4\", inside dimensions measure approx. 23-1/2\" x 23-1/2\".Winthrop Stark Davis (1885-1950) was a Disney listed artist known for his wildlife, birds, and figure painting as well as magazine illustration. Many of his illustrations were featured in Lincoln Car Advertisements. He lived and painted in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Morro Bay, California, where he worked for Disney Animation Studios in Los Angeles and Burbank. While in Chicago, he was affiliated with several arts institutions including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Palette and Chisel Club, and Chicago Gallery Association.
