VINTAGE 1920s RARE COLLECTORS ITEM THIS Bing No.2 typewriter. Our research indicates this was made in Nuremberg Germany by Bing Werke. According to the Virtual Typewriter Museum, Bing Werke was traditionally a producer of tin toys and entered the typewriter market in 1927 with this light typewriter. The Bing #2 was not produced very long and is relatively scarce.

Typewriter is in good condition, keys all function, platen turns and moves when space bar or keys are pressed, ribbon advances when keys are pressed. no ribbon includedOriginal finish on typewriter is in very good condition.

Bing Werke, traditionally a producer of tin toys entered the typewriter market in 1927 with a light typewriter. The sheet metal machine was not intended for heavy office use, but it was not a toy either. It was a \"Lehrmittelschreibmaschine\", an educational tool.
