Thislithograph print by Simon Glucklich of a young girl kneeling on a bench and listening to a bird which is singing inthe tree, sources have suggested this was Glucklich\'s blind daughter.There are two different versions of this popular print: The first and original copy of the girl with her eyes closed; and the later copy of the girl with her eyes open. This picture is of the little girl which appears her eyes are closed.Glucklich (1863 – 1943) was born in Poland in 1863 and passed away in 1943 in Germany. He studied art in Austria and Italy. After his studies, he returned to Germany. Glucklich became a well known artist. In the 1920s his Spring Song became very popular in the USA. His work is in museums throughout Europe.
