This sale is for 1 Vintage / Antique 1930\'s WATLING Penny Scale that is in very good condition and seems to work fine. I put a Penny in and the scale worked and the window opened for the answer to the question I choose. The Scale is 48\" tall, 16\" wide and 24\" deep. It has a Aqua colored speckled porcelain head and base. The body has been painted a Aqua turquoise color and is very straight with very few if any dents or scratches. The Aqua color is very nice but it did not show up well in the pictures. It does have some light surface rust mostly close to the bottom. The base where you would stand for your weight is brass and has WATLING SCALE CO. Chicago. For being 80+ years old it still looks very good. This Machine would display well just the way it is and would not need to be restored at all. It is complete with the coin box. The Machine locks have been drilled but are still with it and the latching mechanisms are complete. A screwdriver will open both the front and back by turning the lock. The Mirror is in excellent condition and I am not sure if it is original to the Scale or not. The glass in the center and the men and women\'s weight glass on the sides have been replaced. To operate the Scale you would stand on it, turn the knob to the question you want, put a Penny in and a window opens with your weight and the answer to the question you chose. I know you can adjust the weight inside the Scale if it is not correct. Please look at all the pictures because most of the description is in the pictures. You can e-mail any questions. Buyer will pick the Machine up in Mansfield, Ohio. I can hold the Machine for a couple weeks if needed and I might be able to arrange for the Machine to be delivered to the Chicagoland Show for a reasonable fee also.
