VINTAGE BSA Boy Scout STERLING Eagle Scout Medal withCoffin Style case.

Up for sale is a RobbinsType 3 Eagle Scout Medal and presentation case.

This Type Medal was awarded1933-1954.

This Medal is the STERLING SILVER version. The word“STERLING” is not on the back of the Eagle, but it is on the back of thescroll. It can be seen the last picture.

The tufted ribbon, as well as the decorated styleof the case, dates this as an early version Robbins 3.

The Medal is STERLING and is in excellent condition with a nice patina.

The Medal is in excellent condition, and the ribbon, although somewhatdarkened from use and age, is still in unusually nice condition consideringthat it’s about 75 years old. The ribbonis strong and doesn’t show any wear other than the darkened color.

The coffin style case is very rare and is also in unusually nicecondition. To some collectors, the casemay be worth more than the Eagle Medal itself.
