Presenting....avery charmingcouple from the 1940\'s-1950\'s, featuring Black Americana Figural Characters for the kitchen....the \"I\'m Salt & I\'m Pepper\"Chef and Mammy Shakers. They are book-style shakers, and measure 3\" high x 1 1/4\" wide x 2 1/8\" deep. They are in EXCELLENT CONDITION; the colors are bold and bright, and they have retained a wonderful shine over all these years. There are a few micro bites to the glaze, and the pepper shakerhas a piece of cork inside. If you choose to use them for the table, rather than display, they would need corks. There are the usual old mould marks from the production process, and the variations in the hand-painting detailsthat make no two exactly alike. On theright side of the pepper shaker, there are some marks in the glaze, and a very tiny hole in the ceramic; looks to have occurred during the production process.
