Here is a gorgeous piece of pottery from the Shawnee Pottery Studio from the 1940's. The name is "SMILEY PIG" wearing a green scarf that ties in a knot at back, and has green shamrocks on his or hercoveralls (4 on the front and 2 on the back). Has pink ears, nose and mouth, closed brown eyelashes, brown hooves hands and feet and brown dots forthe suspenders on the front & back,brown crossed lines suspenders on back and brown slash pockets. Very strong colors and gloss or glaze to the cookie jar.
Marked on the bottom U.S.A. SMILEY PIG stands 11-1/2" tall, approx 8" wide at largest body parts.
