Vintage1940s/1950s J.K. Straus Wooden United States Puzzle. #325. No Alaska or Hawaii, so at least pre 1959. Joseph K. Straus Company,Brooklyn, N.Y. began making puzzles in the 1930s. I understand thatuntil the 1940s their boxes were plain, and the company did not beginputting a picture or some sort of rendition on the box until the1940s. The puzzle is complete (some smaller States are included onone piece). Map is on plywood. The pieces are in good condition, butplease note that there are some age/use flaws/blemishes. The box does show wear, including tape on box. Please seepictures and note condition! Measures 19 by 12 ¼ inches. Each pieceis a little over 1/8 inch thick plywood.
