Vintage 1940s Dress Green Purple Floral Print Swing Rockabilly M L 40s 1930s 30s:

Absolutely lovely green floral dress from the 1930s/1940s.

Accented with attached ivory contrast \"tie\" at the neck.

Floral print is purple and white.

Came from an estate with other dresses from the 1930s and 1940s.

Suggest it is from the early 40s but could also be late 30s.

Does appear to be handmade.

Pullover styling with side zip.

Attached tie belt.

Has both shoulder pads and dress shields (under the arm) - it seems either could be removed without too much trouble.

There is no stretch with this material - it is cotton or rayon.

For comparison, shown on modern dress form with a bust of 36 inches.

Suggest a modern L to XL.

Measurements taken while laying flat then doubled for the following:

Bust: 46 inches

Waist: 38 inches

Hips: 48 inches plus (there is some variability with the pleating of the skirt and the ability to cinch with the attached belt).

Length from shoulder near neck to bottom hem: 42.5 inches (from waist to hem: 27.5 inches)

Great overall vintage condition with nothing too serious to note - it does need to be pressed.

There is a stain on the collar.
