Vintage 1940's Royal Doulton Porcelain Pin Dish Wild Roses Pattern Number D6227 For Sale
This Royal Doulton Porcelain Pin Dish is stunning, the handpainted flowers are red and yellow and pale pink and yellow, the background is a royal blue color that just grabs your attention every time you see the tiny dish. It is only 3 3/4" high and 4 1/4" wide.
This particular pattern called "Wild Roses" was in production from 1940 to 1959. This particular dish is stamped with D6227 and was introduced in 1941. There were many different shapes of Wild Roses and this particular shape is called a Pin Dish or a Conserve Dish. In the day little bits were kept in the dish such as pin's that a lady would be using.
