Enamel ~ a smooth, durable coating made of melted and fused glass powder on a metal base. It is smooth, hard, chemically resistant, durable, scratch resistant, has long-lasting color fastness, is easy to clean, and cannot burn. Enamel is glass, not paint, so it does not fade under uv light. A disadvantage is a tendency to crack or shatter when the base metal is stressed or bent

Cold Painted ~ The item is decoratively painted after the firing. The paint is \"cold\", not fired on, and tends to flake easily

Silver Fineness/Purity ~ standards of puirity for the silver alloy used in the manufacture of the piece.

The Sterling Silver has a fineness of 925. The alloy is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5 per cent copper or other metals
Coin Silver has a fineness of 900. the alloy 90% silver and 10% copper
Scandinavian silver has a fineness of 830. The silver alloy contains 83% pure silver and 17% copper or other metals
German silver has a fineness of 800. The alloy is 80% pure silver and 20% copper or other metals.
French 1st standard has a milessimal fineness of 950. The French 1st alloy is 95% silver and 5% copper or other metals
835 A standard predominantly used in Germany after 1884

833 A common standard for continental silver especially among the Dutch, Swedish, and Germans

800 The minimum standard for silver in Germany after 1884; Egyptian silver; Canadian silver circulating coinage
750 An uncommon silver standard found in older German, Swiss

Excuse any light pinkish/purple color as sometimes thats what my camera picks up depending on lighting conditions. This is a silver color.

Original condition & patina, not cleaned/polished. Pieces will show wear due to age. Any obvious imperfections will be noted. We do not clean our charms. You will receive them as we acquired them. Some will have a wonderful patina; some will be in need of a cleaning, some will have original jump ring. And, some were polished before we acquired them.

I purchase my items from Estate sales, private sales, sales & thrift stores. I do not know the personal history of the item and have no idea if it was from a home with pets or smokers. Please keep this in mind when offerding.

Items are properly stored in storage tubs/bins in my garage which is strictly used for my antiques. No autos, machinery, etc, just packing & shipping materials and inventory/stock.
