I know lighter case is from one of the years mentioned in title its chrome over brass not chrome over nickel silver or chrome over steel the insert is the solid rivet/vertical lettering one sided \"for best results....\" patent 2517191 no date code variation made from 1969-1975 so is not original to lighter case this lighter is in perfect mechanical order very tight hinge feels really good would make a excellent carry or collection piece i think it was repaired around 40 years ago by factory given a new insert used a little then put up till i bought it from a collector in the mid 90\'s and i put it up till now the initial box is not used and its got vertical lines not quite the same as the newer ribbon design I\'ve been hard pressed looking for a case like this from this time period hints why I\'ve held onto it you will also receive the box for display and or storage that\'s in the pictures it is in perfect condition and is new old stock ships immediately after receipt of payment with ample protection thank you for looking and have a good day
