Description
An enchanting original 1950’s party dress in a confection of baby pink tulle, polka dots and taffeta. The style typifies the 50’s - oh so feminine and figure flattering - with a narrow bodice flaring at the waist. There are three layers to the skirt – a baby pink satin lining, a tiered layer of pale pink tulle for extra body, topped with a layer of baby pink tulle accented with polka dots. No maker’s label remains but this dress appears to have been professionally made. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend.
Note the special details on this lovely dress – flattering scoop neckline, adorable cap sleeves, ruched tulle bodice, taffeta cummerbund to cinch the waistline, rear bow treatment, and especially the fabulous twirling tulle skirt. Note the dress is photographed using an additional crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
The dress closes down the rear with a metal zipper. The entire dress is lined in baby pink satin acetate.
No vintage size label, but please see measurements below for proper fit. This is a very wearable small to medium size that would best fit a modern size 4 or 6.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No stains on the tulle and underarms are clean. The tulle is still crisp with wonderful drape. Only two minor mentions - a small approx. 1\" repair to the tulle skirt below the waistline, which is inconspicuous and visible only on close inspection and a few small dark marks on the skirt lining which are barely visible through the outer tulle layers. No significant defects to note.

Returns
All items are sold as final sales, unless a significant flaw has inadvertently not been disclosed. I do my best to accurately describe every item and any significant flaws will be mentioned in the description. Of course it is possible to overlook something and if this occurs, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to resolve the issue. I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.
Please keep in mind that vintage items are not new, and as such are rarely in perfect condition. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been worn and show some degree of wear. Small imperfections are inherent in vintage garments and add character to the pieces.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped expedited parcel via Canada Post, with tracking and insurance. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before purchasing, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
