Description
An absolutely exquisite original 1950’s dress in a vibrant shade of hot pink fuschia chiffon accented with sparkling rhinestones. This would make a fabulous prom dress – certainly lovely enough for a very special occasion. The style typifies the 50’s - oh so feminine and figure flattering – narrow bodice perfect to accentuate a narrow waist – with a twirling full skirt. No maker’s label but this dress appears professionally made. No fabric contents label but this is a synthetic, likely nylon blend.
Note the special details on this wonderful dress – flattering scoop neckline, ruched chiffon bodice, barely there spaghetti straps studded with rhinestones, and especially the full twirling chiffon skirt perfect for dancing. There are three layers to the skirt – a hot pink acetate lining, a middle single layer of hot pink tulle to give the skirt extra body, topped by a final layer of hot pink chiffon. Note the dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
The dress closes down the rear with a hidden metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in matching hot pink satin acetate.
No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is a small size which would best fit a modern size 2 or 4.

Condition
This dress is in very good to excellent vintage condition. No tears and underarms are clean. From a distance it looks wonderful. A few minor mentions on close inspection - there is a small area of discoloration which gets lost in the folds of the skirt and some pale white ghosting marks on the ruched bodice. These did not show up in strong photographic lighting but are visible in bright daylight. The original skirt hem was let out at some point, which has left tiny pinhole perforations along the original hemline, visible on close inspection. There are also several of the snags and picks typical of chiffon dresses of this age and one missing rhinestone on one of the rear shoulder straps.

Returns
All items are sold as final sales, unless a significant flaw has inadvertently not been disclosed. I do my best to accurately describe every item and any significant flaws will be mentioned in the description. Of course it is possible to overlook something and if this occurs, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to resolve the issue. I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.
Please keep in mind that vintage items are not new, and as such are rarely in perfect condition. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been worn and show some degree of wear. Small imperfections are inherent in vintage garments and add character to the pieces.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped expedited parcel via Canada Post, with tracking and insurance. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before purchasing, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
