Description
An enchanting original 1950’s party dress in baby pink tulle, taffeta and lace with metallic silver floral accents. The style typifies the 50’s - oh so feminine and figure flattering - perfect to accentuate a narrow waist. There are three layers to the fabric – a baby pink satin lining, a middle single layer of pink tulle to give the skirt extra body, topped with a floating layer of baby pink and silver floral lace backed by tulle. When this dress catches the light, the metallic accents are iridescent. No maker’s label remains. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend.
Note the special details on this lovely dress – distinctive shelf bust (boned) taffeta bodice wrapped in metallic pink tulle, and the fabulous twirling layered skirt. Note the dress is photographed using an additional crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
The dress closes down the side with a metal zipper. The entire dress is lined in baby pink satin acetate. There are also a pair of satin spaghetti straps, should you prefer not to wear the dress strapless.
No vintage size label, but please see measurements below for proper fit. This is a small size which would best fit a modern size 0 or 2. With the shorter skirt length and petite sizing, this dress would be an ideal choice for junior prom.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No holes or stains and underarms are clean. The tulle is still crisp with no visible tears. No exterior defects to note. A few minor interior mentions - I noticed some seam stress to the bodice lining and repair to the zipper. The zipper is still fully functional ; it has simply been stitched closed approx. 1\" above the original zipper stop to avoid a few broken teeth.

Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped airmail via Canada Post, which includes insurance up to $100. The shipping price below applies to Canada and US shipments only. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
