Up for sale is a delightful animated musical Santa. This mechanical Santa was made by T.K.R. in Japan and still bears its original label which also lists the design patent date of 171805. I believe that would date him to the mid 1950\'s. There is a wind up on his back which will start the music which plays Jingle Bells. As the music plays his head tilts gently down and around a bit in a little circle, kind of like doing a slow head roll. There is a metal mechanism which is inserted inside the head and a cardboard armature inside his body. There is heavy wire in his arms and legs so you can pose him as you would like. He is a bit top heavy, because of the music box mechanical mechanism, so he would best be displayed in a sitting position. He has had some repairs over the years but, I believe he still qualifies as a jolly old elf!! Please see the photos for more details on condition and size. Quite an unusual mechanical Santa!
