Vintage 1950's Era Fur Stole Wrap Cape Bolero Style Blonde Mink Authority Label
This is a very high quality fur stole! My gut and some research tells me that it is indeed mink. It is a blonde color and is in fabulous condition, this stole was very lovingly cared for! It is a bolero style with 2 pockets, one on each side and it has the original owner's name embroidered inside the right side as shown, Betty Moore.The maker's label is there and the only flaws I find in this gorgeous fur is there are a few pin dot spots to the bottom left of the label and a smudge on the label around the date. Please see the photo. Everything else is EXCEPTIONALLY clean without unpleasant odors, stains, tears or any other damage! It has a gorgeous satin lining!The Fur Authority Label is inside the left pocket and has the identification number, also shown. There is a lovely detail of pleating on the inside of the stole at the neck area which does indicate quality construction! There is one hook closure to secure the front together when needed. I have shown one side of the closure in a picture. It is very securely attached.The collar is nice and large and looks great standing up! The shoulders on my dress form measure 18'' across and the fur fits perfectly. The back measures 20'' long with the collar down. Laying the fur flat, the widest part measures 29'' and the bolero part (where the pockets are) are each 8½''. The fur itself appears to me to be about ½'' long, it is not long fur. I would say this is a small to medium size.The fur, which I feel very confident is mink, is very, very soft and when you run your hand down it, it is slick. It needs to go someplace where the new owner will treasure it as much as the last one did!
