ITEM: Old, vintage 1950s Mid Century white bed sheet. Great thread count, not given, but this is a luxurious feel sheet, very heavy and well made. Due to the age, there is age darkening to the sheet, especially where it was folded and the dust and sun discolored it. (see photo of yellow line). Also has a few pinpricks or dark spots (see photo). Old label remains, never used. Somnola was the brand name, these sheets sold for $1.37 to $1.57 and were produced in the late 1940s and early 1950s. This company, The Springs Cotton Mills, was located in South Carolina, and made the first Springmaid sheets and towels. 100% Cotton, 63\" x 99\" before hemming.
