Vintage 1950s Women’s Black Velvet Cocktail Hat:

A black velvet cocktail hat with a birdcage veil that ties in the back with black velvet cord. It is decorated with a spray of black stripped feather quills emerging from a rhinestone and velvet hat “brush.” Overall it is inexcellent condition: the feather quills need to be tamed to all point in the same direction; no tears in veil; shows very little signs of wear. There is no label nor markings. Worn by one of my grandmothers. Interior circumference: 22 inches.
