Up for sale is a Vintage 1953 Mattel Carnival Hurdy Gurdy Musical Toy in Original BoxMusical Fun For Everyone, Mattel Carnival Hurdy Gurdy Stock No. 508:298 is a tin lithograph musical toy manufactured and sold by Mattel in 1953. The top, bottom and sides are each covered with colorful diamond shapes and “confetti” dots. The front shows a detailed picture of a Court Jester-looking fellow playing a mandolin while confetti and streamers fall all around him (presumably while his audience really enjoys the performance!). The back shows the Court Jester playing the Hurdy Gurdy and reads “A good turn or two makes music for you on your. Also stated is “Music Arranged by Ted Duncan and Décor by Louis Song.”This Musical Toy measures approximately 10\" X 8\" X 6-1/2\" and does show some minor wear but is in very good condition for its age. Includes plastic strap and 2 red wooden pieces that form a stand with one end inserted into the hole in the music box. Also, this musical toy works, just a turn or two of the crank and it plays. The box does show some signs of wear but in good condition for its age.
