Up for sale is a vintage 1960s Hassidic Man doll from Israel. It was given to us by our great grandfather (it might have even been the 1950s). The Hassidic man stands approximately 8 1/4\" tall (including the small circular wood platform on which he stands). He holds a Torah scroll. His tallit (prayer shawl) has browned quite a bit over time. There is some paint loss on one of the orbs that sit atop the Torah. There is a vertical fissure-like crack on the left side of the left foot. Right hand has a protruding hook which allows it to grasp the Torah. The shtreimel (head covering) seems to be in good shape for its age with a bit of wear. Doll in general has wear as one might expect of a doll this age.
