Cool old 1961 Slingerland 3 ply Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany shell with Maple ring 14x22 tom in the fairly rare Light Blue Pearl/Blue Diamond wrap. The wrap is in nice shape. Gone to a kind of grey/blue as they do.Inside the mahogany shell is black ink stampedJUN 1961 P (for pearl wrap).Hardware shows 54 years of gigs and all that jazz.Muffler present andaccounted for.Has later vintage Ludwig mount.

To my eyes the Slingerland Light Blue Pearl wrap looks pretty darn close to their Black Pearlespecially because the Black Pearl tends to fade to Grey over the years. I\'ve included a couple ofphotos, one showing the Slingerland wrap chart of 1960 and another of a Slingerland rack tom in Black Pearl on theleft and this one on the right so you can make your own comparison and judgeaccordingly.
