Very sweet vintage original 1962 20\" Chatty Cathy doll by Mattel in crisp, clean, excellent to near mint condition with complete original outfit and wrist tag.

She no longer speaks. When her ring is pulled out it retracts v-e-r-y slowly, so I was afraid to try it more than once in case it didn\'t go back in.

She has full brunette hair that has not been trimmed but her curls have straightened somewhat over the years. There are no missing hair plugs. She has a soft vinyl face.

Her face and torso are a nice peach color and her limbs have faded over the years to a more pale whitish color. All face paint is original. Her lips are a nice coral peach.She has atouch of blush and her original teeth. Eyelashes are straight and full with none missing. Eyes open and close open freely.

Limbs are tight and hold poses. There is some plastic meltingwhere the neck rim meets the soft vinyl head (see photo) but it hasn\'t frozen the head in place andthe headstill turns.

Outfit is crisp, clean and in perfect condition. Includes dress, apron, hair bow with flowers (the clip has been replaced), crinoline-lined panties, socks and shoes with the proper adornment. Shoe elastic straps are there but stretched.

She comes with her original Mattel wrist tag.
